Join our Senior Leadership Team as a School Business Manager and play a vital role in shaping the future of our special school.
Main Responsibilities:
As School Business Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across key areas, ensuring the smooth running of all non-teaching functions. You’ll lead and manage teams in:
Facilities Management: Overseeing health & safety, maintenance, and the upkeep of all learning environments.
Finance: Budgeting, payroll, financial controls, and ensuring the school’s financial health.
HR: Supporting recruitment, training, and staff development.
ICT & Data Protection: Ensuring our IT infrastructure and data systems meet school needs and comply with GDPR.
Office & Administration: Leading front-of-house, events planning, and student record management.
Key Areas of Impact:
Lead a team of managers in finance, HR, facilities, IT, and administration.
Ensure compliance with health and safety, HR policies, financial controls, and GDPR.
Manage contracts and outsourced services (catering, IT, cleaning, and more).
Drive change and manage projects that enhance the operational efficiency of the school.
What We’re Looking For:
A strategic thinker with proven experience in senior operational management.
Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and contract management.
Knowledge of HR practices, health & safety, and GDPR (training can be provided).
Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team and deliver excellent customer service.
A commitment to supporting the education of young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is ideal, but not essential.

Days
5 days per week, 52 weeks per year; 30 days annual leave
